Aubrey "Earl" Irby
Earl is a native of East Texas, more specifically born in Tyler, Texas. He grew up there and graduated from Robert E. Lee High school.
He attended Tyler Junior College then enrolled at Tarleton State University for a semester. After a semester, he decided to enlist in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. Then in 1972 he enlisted for active duty and in 1974 he separated from the United States Marine Corps as a Corporal. Then after returning to Tarleton State University, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agri-Business in 1976.
After graduation, he worked for a couple of business owned by his father.
In 1981 he had the opportunity to become a landman. Except for more than a few downturns, he has been a practicing Petroleum Landman. He worked as the Land Manager for Mountain Energy in Houston, Texas in the mid 90s. The company was planning to develop methane gas wells in West Virginia. The company has since ceased operations.
He then continued to be a Petroleum Landman earning his CPL, which he kept for 15 years.
